Number above the door, different color planters, "live plants" in planters. New brass strip on screen door? $10?
New numbers above door, you moved the welcome mat, painted the planters and added flowers. Our guess is $17.
The second photo shows the house number added over the door, clean steps, painted planters, live plants, painted light fixtures, and painted trim. My guess is that it cost $25.00.
In addition to what the others have mentioned, I'd say you added a new flag as well. Total cost under $40.00 ... and a good example of how much difference small, inexpensive changes can make.
Your dollars spent seems to be spray painting the urns and adding live flowers + house numbers. It doesn't look to me like any painting or power washing was done, or new flag. Same door mat, centered. Paint $10, flowers $15, numbers $10 = $35.
Great job everyone! Here's what was done and spent:
Swept the steps, cleaned off the door mat
Hosed down the area to clean out the cobwebs and gunk out ($0)
Painted the wood trim around the door ($0 - homeonwer had paint in the bsmt)
Added house numbers over the door ($5)
Spray painted the urns ($3 for can of Kryon)
Added "live" plants ($2 - incredible deal at IGA)
Replaced the flag with a new (albeit cheap) one from Michaels ($5)
That's a whopping grand total of $15! The homeowner will also polish the brass, but hadn't gotten to that yet. Congrats to all who played the game!
It's amazing what a few fresh flowers will do!
I agree Kristina! Nothing turns buyers off more than dead flowers (plus it's bad feng shui!)
